This year, we’re helping 1 million Australian children learn how to embrace their bodies. By creating change in the environments where they live, learn and play, we can achieve better mental and physical health outcomes for our young people - setting them up for a lifetime free of judgement and shame about their bodies.
About the event
WHEN: Tuesday 9 April, 2024 (Week 11, Term 1)
TIME: 9am - 3pm
WHERE: Nautilus Arts Centre, 66 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln
COST: FREE!
This full-day immersive experience includes:
An exclusive screening of the EMBRACE KIDS film
An inspiring keynote from local legend, Sarah Prime
Breakout sessions with subject area experts for age-appropriate education and deeper engagement
Stakeholder engagement session for parents, educators (PD opportunity), sporting club coaches and/or adult community leaders
Participation in the creation of an art piece to leave a long-lasting reminder of the Embrace message in your community
Morning tea and lunch will be provided for everyone
Each attendee will be given Embrace Kids materials to take back to their communities where they can create change, helping all young people feel comfortable and confident in their bodies.
